Watermelon Mint Cooler

Equipment

  • Equipment Needed:
  • Blender or food processor
  • Fine strainer or cheesecloth
  • Jug or pitcher
  • Knife & cutting board
  • Spoon
  • Measuring cups

Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • 4 cups of chilled seedless watermelon (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 6 –8 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional, adjust based on sweetness of the melon
  • 1/2 cup cold water adjust to preferred consistency
  • Ice cubes to serve

Instructions

  • Method – Step-by-Step
  • Step 1: Prep Your Watermelon
  • Cut the watermelon into chunks and remove seeds if it’s not seedless. Make sure it's chilled for the best flavor. You’ll need around 4 cups.
  • Step 2: Add Everything to the Blender
  • Throw your watermelon chunks into the blender along with mint leaves, lime juice, water, and honey (if needed). Blend it until it's completely smooth – it should look almost frothy on top.
  • Step 3: Strain the Mixture
  • Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mix through and press with a spoon to extract the juice, leaving behind pulp and mint bits.
  • Step 4: Chill and Serve
  • Let it chill for about 20 minutes in the fridge so the flavors can blend. When ready, pour over ice in glasses and garnish with a sprig of mint or a thin watermelon wedge.
