Equipment

  • Knife and cutting board
  • Citrus juicer (or just use your hands)
  • Muddler or wooden spoon
  • Pitcher or large glass
  • Fine mesh strainer (optional)
  • Ice
  • Glasses for serving

Ingredients

  • 1 medium cucumber peeled if waxed, otherwise unpeeled is fine
  • 1 large lime or 2 small ones, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup cold sparkling water plain or lime-flavored
  • 4 –5 mint leaves optional but refreshing
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prep the Ingredients
  • Wash the cucumber and lime. If your cucumber skin feels thick or waxy, go ahead and peel it. Cut about half of the cucumber into thin slices for blending or muddling. Save a few slices for garnish.
  • Step 2: Muddle or Blend
  • In a pitcher or glass, add the cucumber slices and mint (if using). Use a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to gently press the cucumber until it releases its juices. If you prefer a smoother texture, blend the cucumber with the lime juice and strain it through a fine mesh sieve.
  • Step 3: Add the Lime and Sweetener
  • Pour in the lime juice and your sweetener of choice. Stir until the honey or agave is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust the sweetness if you like it more tart or more mellow.
  • Step 4: Add Sparkle
  • Slowly pour in the sparkling water and give it one gentle stir to combine everything. Don’t over-stir, you want to keep that fizz alive.
  • Step 5: Serve It Right
  • Add ice to glasses. Pour the spritzer over the ice and garnish with cucumber rounds, a lime wheel, or a mint sprig. Enjoy immediately while it’s crisp and fizzy.

Notes

1. Keto-Friendly
Use a zero-calorie sweetener like stevia or monk fruit in place of honey. Keeps it fresh but lower in carbs.
2. Alcohol-Optional
Add a splash of gin, vodka, or white rum for a light cocktail twist. Great for summer parties or relaxed dinners.
3. No Sparkling Water?
Swap it out with plain cold water and toss in a few ice cubes for a cucumber lime still refresher.
4. Herb Swap
Basil instead of mint gives it a unique garden-fresh vibe. Rosemary works too for something a bit more bold.
5. Fruit Infusion
Throw in a couple of fresh strawberries or a handful of crushed blueberries for a fruitier version.
