Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Large pitcher
  • Measuring cups
  • Spoon
  • Citrus juicer (or your hands!)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice about 3–4 lemons
  • 1/3 cup honey or agave syrup or to taste
  • 2 cups sparkling water chilled
  • 1 cup cold water still
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint or extra strawberry slices for garnish – optional

Instructions

  • Step 1: Blend the Strawberries
  • Toss your fresh strawberries into a blender. Puree until totally smooth. If you want a smoother drink, push the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds.
  • Step 2: Juice Your Lemons
  • Roll your lemons on the counter to get the juices flowing, then cut and juice them until you’ve got about half a cup. Fresh lemon juice is key, it pops way more than bottled juice.
  • Step 3: Mix the Base
  • In a large pitcher, stir together the strawberry puree, lemon juice, and your sweetener (honey or agave). Stir until completely blended.
  • Step 4: Add Water
  • Pour in the still cold water. Stir again. This makes the flavor base, almost like a concentrate.
  • Step 5: Chill (Optional but Recommended)
  • Let the mixture chill in the fridge for 10 minutes. This helps the flavors mellow and mix beautifully.
  • Step 6: Fizz It Up
  • Right before serving, add the sparkling water and stir gently. You want to keep those bubbles alive.
  • Step 7: Serve and Enjoy
  • Fill glasses with ice, pour your fizzy strawberry lemonade over, and garnish if you're feeling fancy. A sprig of mint or a thin strawberry slice makes it pop.

Notes

From My Own Personal Experience
The key to making this drink unforgettable is using really ripe strawberries, those ones that are almost too soft to eat. They give off this natural sweetness and richness that bottled juice just can’t match.
Variations to Try
Boozy Twist: Add a splash of vodka or gin for a grown-up version.
Cucumber Mint Version: Add thin slices of cucumber and a handful of mint leaves before chilling. Super refreshing.
Berry Blend: Mix in raspberries or blackberries with the strawberries for deeper flavor.
Coconut Fizz: Swap sparkling water for coconut sparkling water for a tropical flair.
Ginger Kick: Add a teaspoon of grated fresh ginger to the blender for a little heat and zing.
